Experience
In 2015, I taught three secondary school students - one lower secondary and two upper secondary students. I taught E Math, Biology and Chemistry. Other teaching experience include teaching Food and Nutrition in Assumption English (Secondary) School as part of an internship programme. For my Final Year Project in NTU, I achieved an “A†Grade. The project was titled "Identification of Bioactive Component in Lime Peel to treat Obesity via Adipocyte Differentiation in 3T3-L1 (Pre-Adipocyte) Cells". The Project was featured in NTU's award-winning bimonthly magazine and nominated by NTU’s College of Science for its potential to reduce obesity. The Project was planned and implemented, after which an isolated fraction contained the identified component responsible for inhibiting fat accumulation in pre-adipocyte cells with 100% effectiveness. At Nanyang Polytechnic, my team won the International Dairy Federation – Dairy Innovation Award for our Green Tea Ice Cream with Aloe Vera. My team had competed with both local and international teams for the creation of innovative dairy products and had won the “Best New Ice-cream†award, beating other well-known brands. We were featured in the news in 2010. The certificate was awarded to me for good academic performance and outstanding conduct. It served as inspiration for exemplary behaviour on top of excellent academic performance. I was also admitted to Director’s List for three consecutive semesters. Professionally, I was a Gas Chromatography Analyst and thus have good knowledge of plants as well. As can be seen, I'd like to conclude that my strengths lie in project work, applied science and hands-on work. I hope these skills can be applied to potential students.

I can start asap. I am available on weekends for now. Weekday timings have to be discussed with me personally as I am currently tight on my schedule. My timetable would be more flexible next year and thus more available weekday slots. I am able to commit from now till june 2019

I am currently doing my MSc in Aerospace engineering. Previously during my undergraduate i had worked as a part time tutor taking classes for primary, higher primary and JC. I have been an outstanding student of my class being awarded the academic excellence award in my under graduate. I also have been Director of career in NTU which had helped me to know how to build a strong bond between me and the person working with me teaching and learning at the same time. I believe being a tutor I can do justice the student being taught by providing him with what all knowledge i can furnish for the student and in the end take something from the student as i believe that education is a continuous learning process.
