Experience

I have been teaching for 4 years and specialize in teaching Maths and Accounting modules. I am currently a full-time tutor.

Results of students:
- Primary 4 Student from Bukit View Primary School improved in Maths & English from Band 3 to Band 2 in less than 6 months.
- Primary 3 Student from South View Primary School improved in Maths from Band 3 to Band 2.
- Primary 1 Student from Anglo Chinese School (Junior) improved in Maths & English in tests results from 60+ marks to 70+.
- Y1 Student from SMU scored 95/100 for her 1st mid terms, with no background in Accounting at all.

I have been studying Accounting and business related modules for 7 years and am well versed in them. I specialise in accounting modules and math, and am a teaching assistant in SMU for the module Financial Accounting. I was appointed by my professor to guide undergraduates who have questions in the Accounting syllabus due to my excellent results in the module. Apart from being a teaching assistant, I have scored an average of A for all my accounting modules in my undergraduate studies and have interned in one of the Big 4 Accounting firms before.

I cater to the students' learning style and will alter my teaching approach wherever appropriate. I believe that one has to be hardworking and willing to learn in order to succeed. Hence, I will be firm in my teaching if my student does not put in effort into his/ her work. Depends on how the student is comfortable, I can use visual or theory approach to aid their learning. My students have scored very well, with all of them improving at least one grade after my tutoring.
